One of the most litigated forms of evidence
today is the contesting of a testator's will. A video will does not
replace a written will. It is a video of the client and his attorney
reading and explaining the will. It can be used to show the competence
of the testator and that the contents of the will are indeed his wishes.
A video will can be made in the client's home or in the office of his
or her attorney. The advantages of making a video of the client reading
his or her will are as follows:
Shows the physical and mental condition
of the client at the time the will was made
Allows the client to express him or her
self as to why certain decisions where made
Eliminates the question of who the author
of the will is
Shows the will being signed by the client
A video is easy to up-date allowing amendments
