Settlement Documentaries
James Costa has also been trained and certified
in the proper way to prepare an effective "Settlement Documentary"
(also known as a Settlement Brochure). On the surface, it may seem similar
to a "Day-In-The Life" Documentary, but to a trained professional,
it is very different because this video will never be shown in a court
of law. Capitalizing on the emotions of the viewers,
Blame will be established
Pain and suffering will be shown
Content may contain graphic images
Creative editing will enhance the material in favor of the plaintiff
A Settlement Documentary is a great tool for
negotiating an out-of-court settlement. Using this type of video clearly
shows the amount of damages the plaintiff has sustained. The viewers
(generally the defendant and his attorney) can now understand the amount
of damages the plaintiff has really undergone or will undergo in the
future. This type of production will also illustrate to the opposing
party what extent you are willing to go to prove your client's damages.
To do so, we utilize voice-overs, 3D animations, titles, effects, family
interviews, expert opinions, home pictures or video and fancy editing
techniques. In the event that an out-of-court settlement is not agreed
on, the video footage can usually be re-edited in order to produce an
effective Day-In-The-Life Video.
